went well. Friday afternoon, staff
from Gary Bean Securities deliv-
ered boxes of food and a $250
donation to the food drive.Trish

Exeter drug raid leads to several charges
EXETER — Four peo-
ple have been charged in
connection with a drug
raid on Simcoe Street in
Exeter Nov. 13.
The Drug Enforcement
Section — Mount Forest
Unit assisted by mem-
bers of the Provincial
Weapons Enforcement
Unit (PWEU), Huron
County Crime Unit and
Western Region Canine
Unit executed a warrant
to search the Simcoe
Street residence. As a
result of this investiga-
tion crack cocaine,
cannabis marijuana and
associated drug traffick-
ing items were seized
from the residence.
A 39 -year-old male, a
34 -year-old female and a
28 -year-old male of
Bluewater face several
charges.
The 39 -year-old male
and 34 -year-old female
both face charges under
the controlled drugs and
substances act including;
possession of cannabis
marijuana and posses-
sion of cocaine for the
purpose of trafficking.
The 28 -year-old
Bluewater man faces
charges under the con-
trolled drugs and sub-
stances act including;
possession of cannabis
marijuana and posses-
sion of cocaine.
On Nov. 14, the OPP
arrested a fourth male, a
21 -year-old of Exeter.
He is charged with one
count of possession for
the purpose of trafficking
schedule I — cocaine,
one count of possession
of schedule II —
cannabis marijuana over
30 grams and one count
of failing to comply with
recognizance. He
remains in custody.

The Hensall Community
Development Action Committee in
partnership with the Hensall Fire
Department is hosting a tree -light-
ing party on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at
the town hall with free hot dogs,
free hot chocolate, and a tour of the
fire hall. Everyone welcome.
Town and Country Support
Services together with St. James
Anglican Church Middleton are
sponsoring a Christmas concert at
Central Huron Secondary School in
Clinton with Scott Woods on Dec. 2
at 2 p.m. Admission is $15 for
adults, $5 for children under 12.
Hensall United Church celebrated
its anniversary service with Rev.
John Roberts of Belgrave. The ser-
vice began with an organ prelude
and the passing of the Peace.
Ralph Topp was the organist. The
greeter was Ev McAllister with
Lucielle and Lillian Beer looking
after the ushering duties. Rev
Roberts and Donna St. John were
guest soloists. The choir was back
for this special service. Rev. Keith
Lewis is the minister at Hensall
United Church.
Ferguson Apiaries celebrated
their 40th anniversary recently. A
large crowd was treated to an
inside look at how honey is pro-
duced, and could purchase the wide
variety of honey
products available.
