Family fun at Zurich's 42ndAnnual Bean Festival
Fun had by all — The 42 Annual Zurich Bean Festival drew a large crowd this year,
despite some showers, fortunately followed by some sunshine. People enjoyed all events and
activities, featuring the main attraction — a plate full of beans, as eaten by Strathroy resi-
dent Kristie Locke.At right two-year-old Carlie Regier of Exeter points at her frog during
Dr. Charles Wallace's Frog Jumping Contest. Below right Kaitlynn McCarter trys blowing on
her frog to get it to jump — it did, taking a large leap towards the crowd as McCarter trys

Showcasing — The Custom Rod & Antique Car Show showcased many cars, including above a yellow and
blackl 968 Cougar owned by Joan Vankoughnett.The Cougar has won several prizes.At right Doug Mawson of
"Doug Mawson's Wood Shop" in Lieury, sells homemade wooden crafts, featuring birdhouses.
