goats.
Summary
Tuesday: The fed steers and heifers sold on a
strong active trade. Choice steers and heifers
sold 86 - 90 sales to 96. Second cut sold 84-86.
Cows also sold separately.
Thursday: Veal, lambs, goats and sheep all sold
on a steady market.
Friday: Calves sold $2-$3 lower, with yearlings
selling steady.
Steers
There were 296 steers on offer.
Twenty-two steers consigned by Enoch Martin,
Proton Station averaging 1507 lbs selling for an
average of 92.41 with a blk steer weighing 1445
lbs selling to Dominion Meat Packers for 96.
Dave McClinchey of Auburn, consigned 10 limo
steers averaging 1422 lbs selling to Norwich
Packers for 92.25.
Three steers consigned by Art Bos, Blyth averag-
ing 1398 lbs selling for an average of 90.70 with a
blk steers weighing 1375 lbs sold for 93.75.

Ilderton crowning
Fair competition - The Ilderton Agricultural
Society hosted its annual Ilderton Fair Ambassador
Competition Aug. 23 at the Ilderton Community
Centre. Four woman competed, featuring Danielle
Curran, Sarah DeGroot, Sarah Nixey and Nicole
Studenny.The 2006 Ilderton Fair Ambassador Belinda
Bowman crowned DeGroot at the end of night as
the 2007 Ilderton Fair Ambassador. Runner-up went
to Nicole Studenny.Above from left are DeGroot
receiving her crown, sash, flowers and pin, Studenny
and Bowman. Below a Prince and Princess competi-
tion was also held. Randomly drawn winners were
five-year-old Matthew Kennedy, left and seven-year-
