(photo/submitted) St. Marys OBA qualifier St. MARYS — The St. Marys Rockies will host the WOBA Mosquito OBA-qualifier tourna- ment this weekend with the win- ner earning a berth in the OBA Championships in Belle River on Labour Day weekend. The second and third place fin- ishing teams are eligible to also go to the OBA's, but Belle River will make the call on who fills the wild card spots. Action begins Friday with double headers at the Hall of Fame's Rotary Field at 4:30 and 6:45 p.m. and Teddy's Field at 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. and will continue Saturday and Sunday. The draw will be finalized today (Wednesday) and will be posted at the Hall of Fame's administrative office and Dunny's, as well as the Hall of Fame's museum, Rotary Field and Teddy's Field. The seven teams batting for the right to represent the WOBA include teams from Listowel, Goderich, Exeter, Saugeen Shores, Hanover and St. Marys Admission is free. Some excellent passing by Tyler, Madison and Ben helped end the game with a 3-1 win for the Blue Machine. The Orange Crushers made countless attempts at the Blue goal but with Andrew in net he knew he had faced some of the toughest compe- tition so far this season. Great game played by both teams Both teams show a lot of enthusiasm. Keep up the great work to all of you and KEEP HAVING FUN!
