ZURICH — Several Town and Country volunteers
from Zurich enjoyed a lovely meal in Clinton at Betty
Cardno Centre on May 10. to say thank you for the
many things they help with.
Judy Little and Shelly Edwards of Ilderton visited
their sister Nancy Brown of Zurich recently to cele-
brate her birthday on May 17. They
enjoyed lunch at Erb's Country Kitchen.
Congratulations to Carolyn Mathonia
who celebrated her 40th birthday on May 12.
The next bus going to the Bank of Montreal in Hensall
is Mon., May 29. It leaves from the Maplewoods
Apartment at 9:15 a.m. and Zurich Main corner at 9:30
a.m.
The Zurich Monday Night Ladies had awards night
and dinners on May 15 at Huron Family Restaurant in
Exeter. Owners Larry and Barb were presented with a
gift by president Sabrina Oesch on behalf of the
bowlers. There is open bowling in June and August on
Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. for only $3 a game.
St. Boniface Catholic Women's League met on May
16 in the parish hall. All enjoyed Maggie Brennen, who
spoke on the disease Alzheimer's. President Debbie
Pennings welcomed everyone. Pat Meidinger gave the
treasurer's report, Theresa, Kathlene and Janet
Soudant reported on their convenorships. Bean Festival
quilt tickets are available from Julie Becker. A motion
was made to pay half the cost on the Sunday Missals in
the pews and the Knights of Columbus will pay for the
other half for 2007. Also the women's league will sup-
port the schools yearbook with an ad. A couple of
ladies helped at the Blood Donor Clinic recently at the
Zurich Complex. Deb gave an interesting report on the
convention she attended with Henrica Masse in April.
Ursula Regier won the door prize. The
next meeting is June 20. Groups in
charge will be Patti Hunt and Martha

Some members of the Zurich and Dashwood United
Church will be attending the London Conference to be
held at the Mitchell arena from May 26 to 28.
Senior Games of Snooker will take place on Tues.,
May 30, 10 a.m. in Strathroy. Duplicate Bridge on
Wed., May 31 in Stratford. Card games of Pepper on
May 31 in Exeter. Call Gwen McKellar for more infor-
mation at 236-7209.
Members of the Zurich Women's Institute attended
the District Annual meeting in Grand Bend on Thurs.,
May 18, along with ladies from various places.

Social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.
catered by Jerry Rader. Entertainment will be provided
by the Black Forest Band from 7 to 11 p.m. Committee
members and Erb's Country Kitchen have tickets
available.
Zurich Public School grades seven and eight students
are looking forward to their class trip to Ottawa from
Mon. May 29 to May 31. Also Grade six students are
going to see Oklahoma at the Huron Country Playhouse
in Grand Bend on May 31.
