Beloved husband of the late Ann (De Graff) Van der Wiel (1989). Dear father and father-in-law of Henry and Elsie Van der Wiel, Morris and Sharon Van der Wiel, Alice and Joe Hidber, Pauline and Bev Harris and Roderick and Brenda Van der Wiel all of B.C., Pam and Ron Walper of Exeter, Carol Van der Wiel of B.C. and Gayle Van der Wiel of Stratford. Condolences may be forwarded through www.hopperhockeyfh.com (21) WALPER - Anne Winifred Walper (born Neil), 1925- 2006. She died as she lived, at home surrounded by family and friends. A loyal wife, devoted mother, adored teacher, committed friend; fighting and defiant to the very end, she never gave up hope! On Thursday, May 18, 2006 Anne Walper passed away at the age of 80, follow- ing a year long battle with cancer. On July 25, 1947 she married Harvey Walper at Lieury United Church. He survives. Other survivors include Keith, Doug, Joanne, Elizabeth, Ian, Cathy, Brent, Justin, Derek and Sean. One daughter, Mary Louise; her father and mother, George and Margaret Neil; two sisters Evelyn Trevithick and Irene Johnson; and three brothers Russell, Donald and Andrew preceded her in death. Cremation has taken place and private family services held. Interment in Grand Bend Cemetery. Dear mother of Jim Chappel and wife Betty, David Chappel and wife Julie, Laura Carter and husband Don, Alfred Chappel and wife Ruth; lov- ing grandmother of nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
