EXETER - The Exeter Hawks didn't come with any intensity Friday night against the Thamesford Trojans, according to coach and general manager Dale Howard and were edged 4- 3. The Hawks were down 1-0 early in the first but rebounded to tie the score with a marker from Dan Moir. But the Trojans took the lead back before the period was over for a 2-1 lead going into the sec- ond. The Hawks again tied it with a goal off the stick of Jeff Ackersville. But the Trojans took the lead for good with a pair of goals late in the second before Jamie Wolfe cut the lead to one goal before the period was over. But it was all the Hawks could get as the Trojans held on in the third period for the 4-3 win. The Hawks outshot the Trojans by a 32-27 margin with Exeter going 0-5 on the power play and Thamesford 1-8. Exeter is in Lucan tonight (Wednesday) for a 7:45 p.m. game before they finish 2005 against visiting Lambeth Friday night at 8:30 p.m. Exeter Hawk Jamie Wolfe (right) holds off Marcel lanni for the Thamesford Trojans Dec. 23 in Exeter. The Hawks were edged 4-3 Trojans.
