Over 200 people attend ABCA 6OthAmiiversary Ceremony
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) held its 60th Anniversary
celebration Sunday, bringing out many familiar faces including, above from left
Lucan Biddulph Mayor Tom McLaughlin, South Huron Mayor and Huron County
Warden Rob Morley and Bluewater Mayor Bill Dowson. Over 230 people attend-
ed the event which began with activities at the Morrison Dam, followed by a
chicken barbecue and formal ceremony. Below, leftAnge Elliot of West Perth
accepts an award for creating the 60th Anniversary Community Logo from ABCA

Some of the ABCA staff members who helped organize the 60th Anniversary
Ceremony were from left general manager and secretary treasure Tom Prout,
aquatic resources technician Angela Baitz, conservation education specialist Julie
Hicks, water resources technician Hope Brock, stewardship and conservation
lands supervisor Kate Monk, healthy watersheds specialist Mari Veliz, lands
and water technologist Davin Heinbuck, aquatic biologist Kari Killins, GIS/CAD
specialist Tracey Boitson, office services assistant Sharon Pavkeje, corporate ser-
vices co-ordinator Judith Parker, forestry and land stewardship specialist Ian Jean,
field services and lands Tony Drinkwalter and chairperson of the 60th Anniversary
Tim Cumming. Not shown but in attendance were water resources technologist
Ross Wilson and water and planning manager Alec Scott.
