AND WASTEWATER
The Municipality of South Huron requires an effective
Team Leader to manage Water and Wastewater
services in the municipality. Reporting to the Chief
Administrative Officer, this position will be of interest to
a highly motivated individual who responds positively
to the challenge of working under Provincial
Regulations in an established municipal environment.
Our present Operations Manager will retire at year-end.
The Municipality of South Huron is located 50 km
north of the City of London at the southern tip of Huron
County and enjoys a dynamic shoreline along Lake
Huron in the Grand Bend area. Comprised of the
former Township of Stephen, Township of Usborne, and
Town of Exeter it has a population of 10,000 urban and
rural residents. Most of the municipality is serviced
with municipal water, and the urban areas of Exeter and
Huron Park have communal sanitary sewers.
South Huron is classified as WT1, WD2, WWT2, and
WWD2. The successful candidate will possess or be
willing to attain qualifications in these fields. In
addition, the following credentials are preferred:
* Thorough knowledge of Provincial Water
and Sewage regulations
* Working knowledge of municipal services
* Excellent interpersonal, customer service and
communication skills
* Working knowledge of computer software including
Microsoft Word and Excel
* Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License
* Applicants with lesser qualifications may be
considered subject to their related experience
The Municipality of South Huron offers a
comprehensive employee benefits package and a
salary of $65,000 - $75,000 for this position.
