Another attraction on the tour this year was OPRAH Ontario's newest Farm Animal Care Specialist, a robotic girl who rides a remote con- trol -operated John Deere tractor. The robot is run by the Ontario Farm Animal Council and is able to interact with the help of its operator Lisa Matheson and assistant Laura Matheson. The robot has been in use for about a year and has been to all the major agricultural events in the area. Lisa said OPRAH is an easy way to attract kids and provide them with information on farming. Nairn said children react well to the robot because they are able to interact with it.
