Break in
SOUTH HURON — An
officer responded to a
Huron Street B & E on
April 16. A family member
had pulled into the resi-
dence and observed two
males exiting a shed. They
provided false names
before leaving. The per-

buildings on the property
and found that someone
had entered them. While
the officer's investigation
was underway, a motorist
drove by and advised the
officer that two people had
been seen attempting to
force open the door of one
of the buildings on the
property. A short time
later the officer attended a
residence not far away and
arrested two male youths.

in raising awareness and
funds for palliative care
and bereavement ser-

Volunteer Care Program
chair Jim Tomlinson said
the purpose of the Hike
for Hospice is not only to
raise funds, but also to
raise awareness of pro-
fessional, family and
informal caregivers who
care for others at the end
of life.
The funds raised
through the VON Exeter
hike will be used to sup-
port programs in South
Huron, such as volunteer
visiting and bereavement
services. All of the money
raised stays in the com-
munity.
The Canadian Hospice
Palliative Care
Association reports that
95 per cent of Canadians
say they want quality hos-

end of their life, yet fewer
than 15 per cent of
Canadians have access to
this type of care.
With your help, resi-
dents of Exeter, Grand
Bend and area can access
hospice palliative care
services when they need
them.
Hike for Hospice will be
