EXETER - When it
comes to satisfying your
sweet tooth, Sugar &
Spice Chocolates in
Exeter has a variety of
treats to tantalize your
tastebuds.
Staff have been hop-
ping around, getting
ready for an early
Easter rush. There's
good news for last
minute shoppers, both
Exeter locations will be
open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Good Friday.
As many as 10,000
bunnies will be made
this year with prices
ranging from $2 right
up to $200 for a 15 -
pound, giant -sized rab-
bit.
The 25 -year-old busi-
ness is owned and oper-
ated by Gerhard Kuhn
and Cherie Earle. The
chocolate factory and
two stores are located
in Exeter with shops in
Bayfield, London and
Strathroy as well.
Belgium chocolate is
used for the creations -
everything from Spud, a
potato -shaped charac-
ter, to a bunny on a
motorcycle.
Sugar & Spice has
shipped its chocolate as
far as Florida. As for
customer requests,
they'll do whatever they
can to accommodate
them.
Several times staff
have placed jewellery
inside a chocolate
mould before it's sealed.
The recipient gets more
than a chocolate sur-
prise!
When it comes to pre-
sentation this business
is a class act, always
introducing new colours
and ideas. You won't
find baskets filled with
goodies at these stores.
"We never build in
baskets," says Earle.
"We build on boxes of
chocolate so customers
don't get a basket they
don't want."

Adult Day Centre news
EXETER - March is a busy month at the Exeter
Adult Day Centre with St. Patrick's Day, Easter and
spring's official arrival.
Participants have enjoyed baking Irish soda bread,
being entertained by local musicians known as The
Grandbenders (Fred Willard, Roy Zinn and Ron
Dann), singing along with Geraldine Schenk on the
piano, as well as playing fun and mentally stimulating
games.
Our health theme of the month has been Senior
Safety with a special emphasis on falls prevention. We
stress the importance of actively participating in our
daily exercise program to strengthen and maintain
muscles, as well as encourage our clients to exercise
regularly at home.
Research has proven that people of any age can
benefit from regular exercise, and strong muscles and
improved balance help prevent falls. Falls are the
leading cause of admissions to hospitals for people
over 65 .

You can freeze it as
many times as you want
in a sealed container,
but be sure to thaw at
room temperature for
about 24 hours before
eating.
