Easter service to follow Scotia Bank Silent Auction

THAMES ROAD — The choir and the worship com-
mittee were in charge of the Palm Sunday church ser-
vice on Sunday morning.
Everyone sang the Lenten Introit and Passing of the
Peace by shaking hands. Sharon Passmore and Karen
Etherington of the worship committee narrated the
worship service and also between each choir number
of the cantata.
Jessica Bray lit the Lenten candles and also read
with Passmore the Lenten Liturgy. The children's
hymn `Jesus, Friend of Little Children' was sung.
Alice Cann and Marilyn Pym received the offering.
The choir sang with solos by Robert Bray, Beth Cooper
and a duet by Judith Parker and Bruce Delbridge and
a quartet by Sharon Lynn, Doris Elford, Grace Pym
and Beatrice Dawson.

up sheet on the back bulletin board for the Easter
breakfast. If you wish to place an `In Memory Easter

April 5: You are invited to attend an information/dis-
cussion evening on the present realities and future
possibilities of the rural churches in our area. The
meeting will be held from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. in the
cafeteria at South Huron District High School. This
evening is open to anyone but please send at least two
representatives from your congregation.

POLICE BRIEF
Marijuana grower
busted by cops
SOUTH HURON — Acting on a tip received March 4,
police discovered a small marijuana growing operation
at a home on Babylon Line. A 24 -year-old South Huron
man is charged with production of a controlled sub-
stance and possession of a controlled substance. IIe
will appear in an Exeter court June 23.
