At a third residence, police learned a vehicle had been searched and a small amount of cash taken. Two homeowners on Redford Drive also filed reports with police. Someone entered a 1994 Oldsmobile and took money as well as the vehicle's ashtray. OPP say nine of the 10 thefts occurred when owners left their vehi- cles unlocked. OPP followed snow - tracks for four hours, throughout Exeter, try- ing to locate the cul- prit(s). Eventually the tracks were lost. Meanwhile in Clinton, police report a similar trail of activity with 11 unlocked vehicles entered and cash and property stolen.
