MARYS — Two of Exeter's synchronized skating teams collected bronze medals at the 2005 Bert Winfield Classic Synchronized Skating competion in St. Marys on the weekend. "We had another amazing winter on the ice. Each team set realistic goals and was able to reach above and beyond them. "I appreciate all the respect and comittment my skaters have to myself, their teams the managers and executive that make our club a sucess and wonderful to be a part of." Photographic pioneer celebrated at library EXETER — The Exeter Library is excited to pre- sent "An Evening Celebrating Reuben R. Sallows," a local turn -of - the century photographic pioneer. This special event, planned for March 29 at 7 p.m., will showcase the life and work of a Huron County photographer who made his career captur- ing the early rural lifestyle in photographs. An initiative with the Huron Community Access Program, funded in part by Industry Canada, the Exeter Library invites families, seniors and stu- dents to come and discov- er Ontario's cultural, art, and agricultural past through The Reuben R. Sallows Digital Library (www. sallowsgallery. ca). The event features an information chat with Marian Doucette of the Huron County Library and project manager of the award-winning Reuben R. Sallows Digital Library. Featuring more than 900 fully catalogued and searchable images, inter- active games and more, this online resource pro- vides a unique vehicle for discovering and accessing the photographic images captured by Sallows. It also provides sec- ondary information about him, his photographic techniques and informa- tion about the various subjects he captured.
