Fleet Mechanic
The Bluewater Recycling Association, a non profit organization based in Huron
Park near Exeter, providing resource management services to more than 80
municipalities in Southwestern Ontario, has an immediate opening for the
position of Fleet Mechanic and 3rd Year Apprentice.
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, as a Fleet Mechanic you will be a key player
in the maintenance and repairs of the Association's fleet of 32 waste and
recycling vehicles and two material recovery facilities. Normal working hours
are days or afternoons (no nights). You will receive a competitive salary with
excellent benefits including a pension.
The ideal candidate will have a truck and coach mechanics license with a DZ
driver's licence. Previous experience in the solid waste industry and/or
hydraulics would be an asset. Any related experience and/or education as a
millwright, fabricator, or electronics would be an asset but is not necessary.

SCALE ROOM ATTENDANT
Hensall District Co-operative is currently seeking an
individual to work in our Scale room at the Hensall
location. This is a seasonal position from
approximately early July until mid December
depending on harvest requirements.
The following are some of the key responsibilities of
the position:
• maintaining excellent customer relations and
providing customers with accurate and timely
information
• weighing trucks, wagons, etc. and entering the
data on the weigh slip and completing all bills
of lading
• providing liaison of information regarding the
flow of traffic from the scale to the proper
receiving area or distribution centre
• other duties as directed by the Scale room
supervisor
The ideal candidate must be able to use the Excel
and Word programs, be able to recognize errors in
weights by simple math calculations, have legible
handwriting, and above all superior customer
relations skills. This position also requires a
dependable and conscientious person who can
handle several tasks at once especially during our
busy harvest times. A background in agriculture is a
definite asset.
As stated above, this is a seasonal position requiring
day, and afternoon shift work. The candidate must
also be available to work weekends and holidays as
necessary.
