Officers responded and within minutes received a second call form an alarm compa- ny that the building had been entered. The build- ing was entered through the front door when the lock was spun out. The business, J & L Variety, had approximately $1,000 worth of various brands of loose cigarettes stolen from the shelves. A citizen told police three men dressed in dark clothing wearing masks were there less than five minutes and drove away in a black four -door vehicle. A search of the area turned up no suspects. ATV stolen BLUEWATER — On May 21 at 6:30 p.m. OPP were called to a residence on Blackbush Line in Bluewater over a break-in. At a meeting May 25, Huron -Perth trustees were informed of a plan to replace the telephone sys- tems in 17 elementary schools, at a total cost of $53,865. According to vet- eran business superinten- dent Gerry Thuss, systems in some schools had not been upgraded for several years before his arrival at the board, and presented significant barriers in car- rying out modern commu- nications.
