A NEWS Some people say we don't take manure seriously. Now that stinks. Science Hog manure is serious business to Ontario's hog farmers. While we see it as a resource and a responsibility, we recognize that you might see it – or smell it – as something else. That's why we've invested more than $3.2 million in active research into the effects of manure on soil quality, on changing what makes it smell, and on how to store it safely. We're also investing in new technology for precise in -field application, including using GPS satellite guidance to control exactly how much manure we apply and where. In fact, today's hog farm is a smart combination of science, practical experience and common sense. The truth is clear – and anything less than that stinks. • ONTARIO PORK FARM TO FORK' uality Peopleuality Pork Visit www.farmtofork.ca to find out more.
