IN MEMORIAM
In Loving Memory of our dear
mother, Mrs. Clara Decker, who was
called to her Heavenly Home one
year ago, December 2nd, 1948.
One year has passed since that sad
day
When the one
away;
God took her home, it was His will—
But in our hearts she liveth still.
Her weary hours and days of pain,
Her troubled nights are past;
But in our aching hearts we know
She has found sweet rest at last.
=Sadly missed by her daughters.

Arena Progressing
With the milder weatner being
ushered in this week, splendid pro-
gress is being made •at the local Arena
as the frame work at the north end
is now completed and the metal coy_
ering• is going on in leaps and. bounds
Workmen are turning out in large
numbers, in fact we were told on
Tuesday afternoon 45 men were at
work putting on the covering, and
it takes robust husky fellows that
"fear no foes" to do this job, and
we are all glad for the fine co-oper-
ation:that has been shown, not alone
in generous giving, but in contribut-
ing • of labor and time. In years to
come we will be able to look at this
file building, and we will be proud
of ourselves if we had a good part
in erecting the sante. We nope to be
able to hand to our following gener-
ation this equipment for their use,
and their children's use. So get
right in there and do our bit by
helping along with the work and by
giving of our dollars for this project
Lions Club News
A fairly good attendance was pre-
sent on Monday evening at the Do.
minion House, at the postponed me-
eting of the previous week, owing to
a number of Lions being up north on
the deer hunt. These boys were all
fined the maximum, limit tor their
good time away while others stayed
at home and carried on. . Lion Rd.
Gascho reported for the baseball club
during the past season 'as having a
net surplus of $131.85. Mrs. P. J.
O'Dwyer, the painist, favored with
an instrumental selection much en-
joyed by the Lions. As this will be
her last el, ening for some time, as
pianit, she was voted a hearty vote
of ihn '-s, and replied very fittingly.
