In the afternoon I visited the fain?,

years old. At the top of the tower is
the ,,Blerney Stone, which one kisses

difficult to kiss this stone, and an

solate, although Irish blood does not. t
course through my veins. However,
at that moment it seemed as if
heard a voice from heaven, saying:
"It is not the place where your are
buried that counts; but the life that
you led." .
Sat. Aug. 12,7: I am now in Belfast
a very flourishing and busy city.
Here I was particularly 'attracted by
thel "Buy Everything Stores." These
shops line three very narrow. streets.
In them, you can purchase almost
anything imaginable. These:Stores
are not operated by Jews, as one
might guess, but by Irishmen. One
gets the impression here of having
fallen into a den ,of some super -thi-
eves, that have stolen everything in
the country, and here divose of their
loot. They are more interesting than
a museum. In them you will see an-
tiques of every kind.
This afternootn I .went to the City
of Armagh, at ,onei time the archiep-
iscopal seat of St. Patrick. His church
has 'been taken over by protestants,
but still provokes reminimences. The
new Cathedral is very beautiful.
Sun. Aug. 30: I,have coanpleted my
tour through Ireland. This afternoon
I! shall tross the Irish Strait and
come to Scotland. The weather has
been 4exceillent, and I have met with
no sorious trouibie. To be truthful,
travelling requires a certain amount
strpanhge:ers:b
of el7,uroge, but I shall go through
with it. Often I would lils
se to .peak
to someone about the things that T
see, but I dare not mention them to
rief notes must suffice for
the present. I cannot write every-
thing. That 'would be too voluminous.
You must await my return. Now for
the 'first time since the beginning of
my travels, it is raining 1 must buy
an umbrella, and mail this letter, be-
fore t board the boat to Bonnie Soot-
