Steer Jumps on Car
Mr. David Ducharme of. town met
With a an unusual accident when he
was driving on the country road
near Dublin when a large steer, un-
expectedly jumped out of the ditch
and onto the left frant enct .of his
auto, which seemingly was none the
worse of the ordeal, as the animal
ran off and Mr. Ducharme has been
unable to find the owner of same.
However, the auto did not fare so
well as the front fender is a comulete
wreck, and the body .is dinged in
>everal places and we judge it will
take close to a hundred dollars to
put the car back to where it was.
Driving an auto seems to become a
very risky undertaking,,: and regard-
less ,of how careful one is these ac-
cident will occurr. The Iaw prohib-
its cattle from being on the roads,
eo one cannot watch every ditch a
half a mile ahead to see if anything
might be in them. We think there
should be some protection for such
accidents to protect the property of
the innocent.
