Receives Painful Injuries
On Monday evening while Mr.
Frederick Papineau of the Blue Wat-
er Highway, near Drysdale was do•
ing some work in his barn roof, the
rope, which was his !only support, un-
fortunately broke, and Mr. Papineau
slid down off the roof, and to doing
so in some way got in contact with
the ladder, which made matters all
the worse, throwing him out farther,
on landing, he was indeed fortunate
to maintain his life, as he was taken
to Clinton Hospital, where x-rays re-
vealed both legs broken, and also a
spine fracture. The• patient in now
in cats, and will be for some time
until his badly injured body is heal-
ed. We ravish him much luck and an
earliy! recovery.'
OBITUARY
•
Late Andrew F. Hess
Andrew Frederick (Andy) Hess
died at his residence in Zurich, Ont-
ario ion May 30th, 1949, at the age
of 68 years. Services will be held at
St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Zurich, on Thursday, June
2nd at 2:30 p.sn. He had been in ill
health for the past few years.
He was formerly active in private
business and also as Clerk and Treas-
urer of the Township of Hay for
many years. Was liked and respect-
ed by all and gave to ,all who sought to always look up to our leaders and
his advise his kindly and synnpath- recognize then: for the great respon-
etic attention. He is sadly mourned
by his wife, Marie Hess, his sons,
Quimby, Paul and Fred, his brothers
William Hess of Pontiac, !Michi'go.n,
and George Hess of Zurich, Ontario.

animals° in their natural setting, mak-
ing .usy of 100 acres, and is consid-

tinent.
