The Council of the Township of
Hay met in the Township Hall, Zur-
ich, on Monday, Aug. 11; at 8 p.m.
The correspondence dealt with was as
follows: Hydro Electric Power Com-
mission re: acceptance of terms of
sale for cable to St. Joseph Airport;
Bell Tele. Co. re. rental of pin space
for 3 Y miles space east of Dashwood
Dept. of Highways, re: subsidy; .Ont.
Municipal Board, re: granting ap-
proval to buy portion of Clark's Tel-
ephone System and borrowing of
$9,000. to connect that portion.

to the church was minor, it seems to
have injured, the town clock located

disposed of his "dwelling property,
formerly known as the Haberer old
home, to Mr. C. C. McEchern, who
will be the new manage: of the Bank
of Montreal, Zurich, when Mr. Sew-
ell leaves far Fort Erie. The down
town office of Mr. Andrew F.. Hess
just south- of Wagner's stare on. Vic-
toria Street,. has been purchased .by
the Township of Hay for their clerk's
office. This will make an ideal place
for this purpose es there is a built
in vault in thia place in which the
valuable papers. can be stored'. The

College, Toronto, the marriage took
place of Patricia Stirling Mote, dau-
ghter. of Mrs. Russell, and the: late
William. Russell, Exeter, and the late
Archibald John MacKinnon, sou of
Mrs. MacKinnon and the late Doctor
A. J. MacKinnon of Zurich. Rev., J.
13. Rhodes. conducted the ceremony
and Mass, E. Halliday playea the wed-
ding music. The bride's floor -length
gown of silver -blue crepe was design-
ed with long -fitting bodice, full skirt
and deeplly shirred sling sleeves. She
wore matching braided coronet and
elbow -length mitts, and carried a cas-
cade of cream rocs, pale blue gar-
denias, white gladioli and swainsonia
She was given in marriage by Thom-
as Pryde of Exeter. Her only atten-
dant was Miss Marion Campbell, Tor-
onto, who wore a gown of deep prim-
rose crepe, and carried a cascade of
coral and yellow gladioli, corn-fow,
ors, golden asters and swai sonik •
Doctor James Schroeder, Guelph,
was best man, and the ushers were
Doctor Gordon Carter, Guelph, and

was held at the Prince Arthur House
Toronto. Later Doctor and Mrs Mac-
