Old Friends Call
IVLr. and Mrs. Allan Bender of
Baden were holiday visitors with re-
latives here. Allan gave us a call
on Monday at our office, we have
not seen him since the good old
school days at No. 5, Wilmot Twp.,
and that is a good few moons away.
On the same day another old school
pal, Mr. John Brenneman of New
Hamburg gave us a call. After all
the sociability of life and this phil-
osophy of our time is beyond a
doubt excelling anything in the past
as we have unprecedent means of
transportation and communication
that excells any generation of the
long, long ago, and if we utilize
them to our best ability, well, we
just excels, and that's all.

-Some Good Gardens
' .In strolling around town we notice
"same very fine gardens. These of
:course have been got in early and
given every attention. One of these
:we wish to mention is that of Mr
'Louis (Prang, who has every reason
to be proud of it. Just take a walk
to the back of his house and in a
glance you will admit that it isabout
the best garden in town, or that one
dould hope to see at this time of
year regardless to the delayed season
and we congratulate Mr. Prang for
ie his fine garden.

Lions Frolic
We cannot help but remind our
readers of the big Zurich Lions Frolic
'Which will `be held next Wednesday,
July 9th. This is one of the big
ght'ai ,of .Zurich„when multitudes of
people gather and really have a/"goad
tiine. There will be entertainment
for one and all, large and small, so
bring the whole family out and enjoy
all the fun that the Lions have pro-
vided for their guests. You can have
a good time and remember no one
will make a cent of the many dollars
we hope ybu will be spending, as all
this money will be used in welfare
work, and everything is being hand-
led very carefully. So come and
have a great big night's fun and
frolic.

A new hold-up alarm system, which
has been devised by the Bank of

tective agency, is now. being install-

local office here and that at Hensel!
have already been provided with this
added protection.
The first to use a system of this
type, the Bank of Montreal is meet-
ing with the fullest co-operation of

commendable" and worthy of the
"fullest co-openation", this system is
designed to combat the wave of
many holdups 'that has been sweep-
ing the country in recent months. It
is based on the latest ideas in pro-
tection and makes use rof tee most
up-to-date equipment. At a number
of points arrangements have been
made with other financial institut-
ions for mutual protection.
