A CORRECTION
In our last week's issue in the
District News there was an article
under the heading "Injured in 'Crash"
This item unfortunately was on our
gallies and unnoticed got into our
columns, as it should not have been
inserted as the 'accident happened
some considerable time ago and is
not of recent date.
Celebrate Anniversary
In .renewing his subscription to
the Herald, Mr. Daniel Steinbach of
Battle Creek, Mitch., advises us that
and Mrs. Steinbach celebrated
their fiftieth wedding anniversary,
on December 29th, 1946. We join
the many Zurich friends in extending
congratulations to this fine couple of
fifty years young. May they be
spared with health to enjoy many
more such occasions.
Late Copy
As we go to make up our farms
for the Herald again this week, there
happens to be a large number of copy
coming in. We would like to set
it all up and publish it, but this
would throw us a day late, and our
readers would wonder what has hap-
pened to the paper again, "a day
late, or not at gall." Well, these things
do happen, and we must leave this
Icopy over for next week.

THE
CARRITS
Our men and women back from the
world battlefields often tell how the
Red Cross was there to aid and com-
fort them -oftentimes to save their
lives. Now the Red Cross asks those
who extended such solid support
during the war years, to help keep the
Red Cross strong in peace. •
Today there are thousands of sick and
disabled veterans who need the con-
tinued help and friendship of the Red
Cross. Isolated frontier communities
need Outpost Hospitals and nursing
service—their only medical aid. Crip-
pled children's hospitals must be
maintained and expanded. Men,
women and children across Canada
need the Blood Transfusion Service
the Red Cross has started to supply.
Will you continue to lend your help
to sick and suffering humanity? The
Bed Cross work is your work.
