Harvest is progressing very nicely
and many farmers still have a lot of
stocks out awaiting the threshing
machine to come along.
The weatherman, who was quite
warm last week, on Monday turned
to very cool for this time of year, in
fact it seems like October weather.
Mrs. Wm. Hay has returned home
from Toronto after a lovely visit at
the home of her sister, Mrs. McKin-
ley.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bedard and
family of 1 oronto are holidaying at
the home of the former's. parents, Mr
and •Mrs. Dennis Bedard, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Richer •Jeffrey of
Detroit, accompanied •by friends of
Chicago, were visitors with the for-
mer's mother, Mrs.. C. Ayotte the
past week. •

Tavistock visited with the Ciausius

THIEL RE -UNION
The eleventh annual Thiel Reunion
was held at the Zurich Fair Grounds
on August 5th, 1946. There were 167
present, and all hacl a most • lovely
tinln dinner was served •and ,the
ta?des and windows in the shove house
wore nicely decorated by the commit-
tee, After dinner there was a busin-
ess meeting, and an address biy the
president, Mr. Henry Clausius who
told some interesting jokes. A fine
address was given by Rev. Cornwell
of Kitchener and Andrew Thiel of
Toronto created laughter by making

supper, 3 boys and one girl have re-
cently returned from overseas: Nor-
