ZURICH FALL FAIR
BEST IN YEARS
Zurich fall fair which was origin-
ally planned for Tuesday, Sept. 25th
was held two days, later Thursday,
Sept. 27th .and was one of the best
fairs held in years. Sorry, but ow-
ing to the Herald's publisher taking
ill, this could not he reported in our
'last week's issue. The afternoon
program started with a softball game
'between Dashwood and Sharon men
teams. This proved very interesting,
the Dashwood team winning. '7-1.
Both floOri of the show house were
well represented with exhibits from
schools, homes and gardens. 'louse -
Wives had shown their skill in the
domestic science, and the school chil-
dren did very well too.
En the show ring department the
outstanding number was the four
Clydesdale horses owned by •Mitchell
F. Hepburn, of St. Thoraas who were
judged the finest in the tandem hitch.
One of the !same horses was later vot-
ed the finest horse of any breed ex-
hibitea et the fair. The hurdle jumps
proVided much interest ,during the
afternoon, and it [book a lot of prac-
ticing for these young fernier boys
to learn these horses the art of jump-
ing. In all the fair was interesting,
