ZURICH FALL FAIR BEST IN YEARS Zurich fall fair which was origin- ally planned for Tuesday, Sept. 25th was held two days, later Thursday, Sept. 27th .and was one of the best fairs held in years. Sorry, but ow- ing to the Herald's publisher taking ill, this could not he reported in our 'last week's issue. The afternoon program started with a softball game 'between Dashwood and Sharon men teams. This proved very interesting, the Dashwood team winning. '7-1. Both floOri of the show house were well represented with exhibits from schools, homes and gardens. 'louse - Wives had shown their skill in the domestic science, and the school chil- dren did very well too. En the show ring department the outstanding number was the four Clydesdale horses owned by •Mitchell F. Hepburn, of St. Thoraas who were judged the finest in the tandem hitch. One of the !same horses was later vot- ed the finest horse of any breed ex- hibitea et the fair. The hurdle jumps proVided much interest ,during the afternoon, and it [book a lot of prac- ticing for these young fernier boys to learn these horses the art of jump- ing. OBITUARY Late Fred Corbett Fred Corbett, prominent Hay Twp farmer died suddenly at his home in ;Hensel]. on Friday in his 63rd year. Mr. 'Carbett had been in Exeter on business on Thursday. He was born in Hay Township and lived there up until his death.
