LIONS STAGE CARNIVAL
The Seaforth Lions Club held their
two -night summer carnival. at Lions
Park last Wednesday and Thursday.
.A. ticket draw was held for a total of
$300.00 in' cash. First prize $200,
went to Mrs. Derry, Toronto; second
prize $50 W. Kollnian and Cross, of
Shakespeare; third $25, Robert B.
Jordan, Mitchell; fourth $25, Reg.
Leatherdale, Ridgetown. A special at-
traction on this year's program was
a "doable or nothing" quiz contest,
which was broadcast.

Trout Fishing at Meaford.
Lake trout fishing has been good
recently in the Georgian Bay at
Meaford where this sport is the more
popular. During the past week a

Ross Johnston, Stewart Wright,
Clarence Brenner and Lenard Prang
were tip and landed ten of these

BAYFIELD CELEBRATION
At the 12th of July celebration at
Bayfield the sun shone on almost
2,000 members of the Orange Assoc-
iation from Huron, Perth and Bruce
counties as they walked to the 100th
anniversary of the Bayfield Loyal
Orange Lodge No, 24, It was the big-
gest of its kind ever held -In Bay-
field. Watched by an estimated 1'0,-
000 visitors, the parade, with its ban-
ners and standards took aIeiost, en
hour to pass, 30 Lodges participated.

Dies at $ayfield
The death ofD. C. Galbraith oc-
curred suddenly in Bayfield:.•at his
home on July 13th. The funeral was
held from the home of his brother,
D. A. Galbraith, on July 16. Surviv-
ing are his sisters, Mrs Marks, Bay-
field, Mrs. Geninhard of Wyoming;
Miss Galbraith and Mrs. Ada Reid,
of Seaforth, and one brother, D. A.
Galbraith, Varma.
