Dear Mee. Meyers and ladies of
the Z. W. I. I am not much at writ-
ing letters, which you can no doubt
see for yourself, but would like to
thank you very much indeed for the
swell Christmas Box you sent me.'
It makes us feel that we are still be-
ing thought of back hone and know-
ing you people are doing a good job.
This is the first Christmas I won't be
-sitting to nice turkey dinner at home
bat after thinking of what some of
the other boys have been through, I
consider myself quite lucky.
The weather here is quite • warm,
the hottest month being February, so
I have been told, but I don't know
how it can possibly get any hatter
than it is right now. I just returned
yesterday from a week's leave which
I spent at a lovely spot called Mon-
tego Bay. Many tourists come there
from all parts of the world. At pres-
ent there ,are a few girls from Mon-
treal staying there. The coral reefs
are certainly a worth while sight
alone. Well I guess I've taken up
enough of your time, so I'll. close for
new, thanking you once again and
wishing you and all my friends a
very Merry Christmas. Yours, Bruce

Last Thursday evening about mid-
night there was an unpleasant exper-
