The executive members of the Zur-
ich Lions Club, twelve in number
journeyed over to •Exeter on Friday
evening where they were supper
guests with the Exeter Lions. Dr.
IP. J. O'Dwyer of Zurich, Lion Presi-
dent, made some very appropriate re
marks. Other guest at the meeting
were from overseas, Flt. Lt. Lorne
Snider, being a brother-in-law to Lion

the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs

The Druar Sisters have all return-
ed to their respective duties after
spending a pleasant holiday at the
home of their parents, ,Mr. and Mrs.

Clemens visited at the home of their
mother, Mrs. J. P. Rau for New
Year's week -end.

Rousseau. They also visited with
Mrs. Bedard's mother, Mrs. Minnie

HAD BIG NOMINATION
The second nomination of council-
ors for Hay Township to fill two vac-
ancies, caused by failure of those
nominated at the first nomination to
qualify, resulted in the following 12
nominations: ,Fred Haberer, Earl
Campbell, Oscal Klopp, Wes. Reiner,
Roland Geiger, George Armstrong,
Rheinholt Miller, Wes. Coleman, Bert
Klopp, Wm. Davidson, Henry Schilbe
and Ray Fisher. Of the ,entire 12,
the necessary two qualified, and they
are: Oscar Klopp and Earl Campbell,
and these two along with Erwin Wil-
lert and Sam Hendrick will constitute
the 1945 Councillors, and will be
headed by William H. Haugh as the
Reeve.

ing wedding, when their only caugh
ter, Helen May, became the bride. of
William Earl, son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Dignan, Hensall, Ont. Rev.
Reba Hern officiated. The bridal
music was played by Mrs. ElmenKeys
of Varna, who sang "0 Perfect Love"
prec6.ding 'the ceremony and "I Love
' You Truly" during the signing of the
register:
The attractive young bride entered
the living room on the arm at her
fatherand stood beneath an arch el
pink and 'white 'roses and Old Eng-
lish Ivy with canyon blue satin side
drapes. For her wedding the bride
chose a floor length gown of ivy
brocaded satin with sweetheart neck
line and tiny covered buttons down
the .fiont of the long fitted bodice.
She wore a three-quarter length tulle
veil, arranged from a feather head-
dress and. carried a cascade bouquet
of Peerless Red Roe,es. The bride's
only -Ornament was a gold heart e‘hap-
ed locket, a gift of the ,,greont. The
bridesmaid, Miss Gladys. Wainer, of
Grend •were a floor length
