HAY COUNCIL.
The regular monthly meeting of
the Council. 'of the Township of Ha,
was held in the Township Hall, 'Sur=
ich, on Monday, April 6tlh. at 1.30 p:
m., with :all members present. The
following motions were ,passed:
That the minutes of the March 2nd.
and 16th be adopted as read.
'Dhat we accept the Auditor's Tte-
port for the year '11952 and that
tdveiia- account be paid as rendered.
That a -circular letter be sent to
each of the property owners on Con •
-
cession, 9 and 1110, from lots 21 to
North. Boundary inclusive giving
thein privilege to salvage their road
fence .and posts las re -construction
work may be commenced shortly. 1
That we purchase the piano in. the':
Township Hall from the Women's
Institute for the suns of $50.00.
That we accept the Fire Agree;.in-
ent with Hensall and also with • Zur-
leh and Dashwood under similar con-
ditions and that the assessment be
spread over the Township properties -
with buildings except the Police Vil•
-
lege of Dashwood and Zurich. To
become effective as soon as .agreem-1
ents are signed.
That a' letter be sent to the- Co-
unty Engineer to anake an examin-
ation of the road that was gaven
a primary coat in 1952 from Dash-
wood north for 1 1-4 miles and that
a report be given to the Council
which if• satisfactory, for a second
coat, we hereby make requisition for
use of County machinery for a sec-
ond coact.
That a grant of $35.00 be made'to
the South Huron Agricultural Soc-
iety for 1958. That Wm. Lawrence ,
be paid $95,00 being the balance of
account unpaid for work done an the.
