Was On Night Shift
All through the night the man
tossed and turned as a netgabor's
dog howled at every little noise. The
next morning, • red -eyed and gaunt,
With weariness, the man saw the
neighbour going to work. "Say" 'he
complained, "Do you know that
'your dog barked all night last nit,''ht'
Don't worry about the dog, 'he's go-
• ing to sleep .all day to -day.
By - The - Way i'
Saturday laat, was rather a else-
greeable day to contend with, 'veird,
cold, and at times blinding snow
blizzards to Make it look wintei-like.
Apparently the weatherman rs at a
loss as to what to predict for the •fut-
ure. Once in a while you meet some
one who are dissatisfied with the
weather. They feel that a hard win-
ter is much healthier. There may ee
some little thing to that, but it has
yet to be proven, so far we cannot
say tco many bad things about this
winter. The weather has 'been trice,
alio the outing to get around, not
having .to wade belt deep in snore'
,and slush, and besides, let in consid-
er the saving cost of fueling. 'Even
the there is a season for winter with
• "1"::":7 lo,ls of snow, and -at -a1I May.: have,
some goad points. But have we
been seeing things; give us a orad
winter and wi•tli good going, and
with all that, we feel that when
spring oomes, we shonlci be very
gratefu to the weather man -'for his
winter service! _
