Mr. Bruce Eickmeier, Dental Stu-
dent, has taken a position with a
Dentist in the Medical Arts field-
ing, Hamilton, Ont., for •the summer
months.
Mr and Mrs Arthur Truemner of
Toronto enjoyed the week -end at
the home of the former's sister, Mr
and Mrs Wm. S. Johnston, Mr and
Mrs. 1Mihne Rader and Mr and Mrs.
Ted. Rader.

at bhe home of the former's sister,

Mr. Daniel GGescho of town. Miss
Margaret Rader will return with them
to the city for a few days vacation.
Mr and Mrs Moses Erb of town
spent Sunday with Mr and Mrs Alf
i.Vlellet at London. Miss Jane Lamont
accompanied them, and Mrs. T. L.
Williams, who had been at the Mell-
et home for a week, returned °some
with the former.
Messrs Donald Dietrich and Doug.
O'Brien have returned from a love-
ly motor otor trip to Sault Ste Marie.On
their way they went (by way of Al-
gonquin. Park, North Bay then on
to 'Sudbury, also visited Manitoulin
leland. . Returning home by way of
the United States.,
Mr and Mrs Paul Jeffrey of De-
troit were week -end visitors with
the former's ,mother, Mrs. C. Ayotte
of town. Sorry to report that Mrs.
Ayotte has not been enjoying her
good health the past few weeks hav-
ing been confined to her bed. Her
daughter, Mrs. Ed. Laque of Detroit,
has been in attendance.
Harvest Progressing
Harvesting operations are progres-
sing very favourably, the week -end
rains detained it somewhat but the
weather has cooled off very much,
and with a few more .bright sunny
days, the harvesting will be pretty
well a thing of the past for another
year. Wheat crops are very good,
but a lot of summer grains are short
with little staw, hut the kernels are
very good.

TO STAND TRIAL
John Rice, Seaforth, charged with
manslaughter, after a triple fatality
in suburban Toronto on July 4th,was
committed for trial in New Toronto.
Mr and Mrs m. McIvor and Bertha
Woods, 51, all of Toronto, were kil-
led when the auto in which they were
riding collided with a truck. A fourth
passenger in the car, Mrs. Helen Bur -
field, of Toronto, is in hospital with
severe head and internal injuries.Mr.
Rice of the truck, was releasers on
$5,000 bail pending trial.
