All young ladies wiseems to enter the Beauty Lions Club News Lions • Were Entertained It was indeed very thoughtful for Lion Ivan Kalefleisch to invite. the Zurich Lions Club on elienday even- ing to his newly established park on his farm, Bronson line, known as the Cedar Lawn Grove, and if you have never been on these grounds, well, yen can't imagine what a beauty spot it is. Here you have lovely grounds, for playing games, the rustic arched eante;t. should regist r at , rtes a bridge across the stream, a concrete number , f'' entrir ,n, in noel pile• dam that holds back the watergin the thr more the merrier. 5o be present istr'e stream trickling through the rou.ncts. lecmc tables, benches, oven stone built cooking fireplace, a nice large shanty, boat where one can go cano- ing up and down the river, in which one can see the traditional mud tur- tles, fish, frogse'and just about every- ,hing that nature can provide. In ['net we noticed a pair ;of those large long-legged cranes zooming around oierhead,,but we can hardly give the owner •of this fine park credit for these latter. The gathering wee call- ed for 6.30, but as usual the Lions waited for some late comers wrtich in fact never .did arrive and missed a- bout the 'finest social evening that the Club has ever had since its organiz- ation. A well planned meal was then served, corn on the cob, and more corn, in .fact some of those ro- 'met Lions got away with over the full dozen cobs, they really went, as did the sandwiches and hot coffee, The Chefs, and we. can recommend these for such an occasion. Then there were cut cakes, cookies and an abundance sof ice cream, and who could wish for anything more. 1n the animal kingdom Lions are noted for flesh eating canivorius beasts, but these Lions were vegetarians and how?
