ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting and banquet
of the Hensall District Co-operative
Incorporated Ltd., held their annual
meeting and Hot Turkey supper in
the spacious Community Centre on
Tuesday evening, with the tables all
well filled, something like 300 were
,at the supper. A most delicious
meal was served by the Ladies of St.
Peter's Lutheran -church, which got
under Atray about 7.80, Mr. Roy Mc-
Bride, the president, was master of
cerernonies, Delbert Geiger was chor-
ister -and IMrs. Milt, Oesch presided
at the piano. After the meal the
president introduced the -guests at
the head table and the program got
under way. Two interesting films
were shown by Arthur Bolton, asst.
Agricultural Representative iof Hur-
on County Mr, Ed. Schenk of Strat-
ford introduced the guest spea.ser.
Mr. Ed.. O'Morrow, who has had a
wide 'experience in Co-op work and
commented of the fine job the Hen -
sail Diet Co-op. is doing, ae they
are tops in doing ,business and fin-
ancially strong showing a surplus of
nearly $30,000 for -the year's work.
Among the entertainers was Mrs,
John .Turkheim and daughter Mar-
ian Who played two lovely duets on
the pia& The Hern Brothers, with
their mother as accompanist, had
(Towel in gond humor -with their
drama: and lively -hillbilly songs, and
time sped all too quickly. The two
directors elected to office were Or-
land* :Reichert, re-elected of near
Hensall ; and George Clifton of Bru-
mfield, a new member in place
Wm. Caldwell who has served six
y -ears on the board. which is the limit
of •tinit allowed. Bert Klopp, secret-
