the feminine sex left St. Joseph and
its outskirts, took off on an errand
[triip to a southerly burg after a few
hours of shopping. They returned
much pleased of their adventure; the
trip was apparently enjoyed by all
and besides they were much impress-
ed on the value of their dollars.

When a proposed Candidate is not present, his nomination
paper shall not be valid unless there is attached thereto evidence
satisfactory to the Returning Officer that he eonsents to be so

There were forty ladies present. Rev
Higeneil discussed the topic "That I
may be His own." Group three with
Mrs Allbert rMiller in 'charge tvrovided
the program; Mrs. E. Nadiger and
Mrs. E. Nadiger and Mrs. C. Pfile
sang a duet. Th e ladies presented
a !skit 'Thy Kingdom. Come." It was
decided to buy a Christmas gift for a
hospitalized member of the congreg-
ation. The group in charge served
lunch.
Celebrated Birthday
About 40 members ;of Mr and Mrs
L. H. Rader's family gatheredat their
home on Friday evening to celebrate
Mrs. Rader's 71st birthday. They
were paresent from Waterloo, London,
Zurich and Dasho:od. The evening
was spent in playing Bingo and visit-
ing. Mrs. Rader was presented with
some lovely gifts followed by lunch.
