Won and Lost.
e During the past week the
Flyers both won and lost a game,
and were very jubilant last Friday
evening When they were- able ror the
second time in a row win from the
!powerful Irish of Lucan. This time
again ilay one score, 7-6. The locals
were trailing 6-5 going in the third
peai4aci, but two ,goals were soon run
in by ,Gignac and Hesse, the former
getting three goals and the Tatter two
in the evening's plea% The scorers for
Zurich were Gignac, Hesse, O'Brien
and Hanley.
The game at Clinton with 'Merton
on Tuesday evening was not so good
for the Flyers as they Iost this one
10e4t Ilderton scored five ueanswer-
ed goals in the first period and their
lead was never endangered although
in the last period the Flyers showed
flashes of their usual form. But it
just wasn't their night. The goals
scored for the Flyers were Hesse
O'Brien, Hanley, Edgar.
Games coming up by the time we
publish again are: Dec. 28th Zurich
at Seaforth; January 7th, St. Marys
at Zurich.

. No Paper Next Week
As has been the 'custom of many
Weekly papers to not publish be-
tween 'Christmas and New Year, or
knoWn as the holiday week, the pub-
lishers of the Herald will observe
this next week, Dec. 80th. So your
next issue will be January 6th. We
however will be in our place or bus-
iness every day. It will be a short
week with Monday and Saturday as
holidays. We have a lot of book work
as well as try and brush up our mach-
inery 'a bit, and besides we are just
getting over a siege of that nasty
cold going :wound which always
-pulls one down somewhat, .Sa don't
be eapecting a paper next week,
