announced that he and his church

When fast contacted, the leaders had
made no decision as to how the funds
would be used, but we do know that
they will be put to a good purpose.

A number of Cubs were on a ;ante

his foot. One ten-year old used the
water from his flask to bathe the
wound. Two boys donated clean han-

it. Leaving three bey., to care for the
casualty, two of them ran across the
fields to where they could see some
men, they returned with one or the
men who diagnosed the wound as
not being serious but who bundled

good Christian citizens. from our
boys and girls. We are informed by
Scouter Jim Reid that the various
churches in Canada have set up eer-
tain requirements in accordance with
their beliefs which will enable a l3oy
Scout or Girl Guide to be awarded
a "Religion and Life" award on the
recommendation of his own pastor.
The award is made by the Scouter or
Guider concerned but cannot,be made
without the signature of the appropri-
ate clergyman. We do hope that we
shall see some of our boys sporting
this much -coveted award before too
much longer.
The round of parades began on the
evening of May 9, when a large
group attended St. Peter's Lutheran
Church and were accorded a waren
welcome by Rev. E. Heimrich, who
inspired old and lyoung alike with 33
poignant stories.entitled "The. Beau,

and "Beautiful Life." Hie emphasised
that the training for service to others
given in these youth groups is the
training which can lead to the beauti-
