Redecorate Church
The committee in ,charge of the
local !Mennonite church are having
the interior• of the church re,decor-
ated. The work being done by Mr.
Henry Eickmeier. The seats in the
church have been removed for the
time being and when completed it
will have a• "New Look", ,and will be
a very appropriate house of worship.
Chamber of Commerce
The most successful Annual Me-
ting of the Ontario 'Chamber of
Commerce, in its 42 years of operat-
on, concluded on Jan. 18th, 1,954, in
Windsor, Ont. 150 delegates from 50
Boards and Chambers threshed out a
new set of Policy Statements and Re-
olutions. On Jan, 14,'54, a deput-
tion headed by President Ivor Wag-
ner, interviewed Prime Minister Les -
ie M. Prost and the :members or the
Provincial Cabinet. In the words of
he Prime Minister. "It is most en-
ouraging to learn that the Ontario
Chamber takes such a broad view•of
Ontario's problems." We feel, there
ore, that your (Provincial •Chamber
s giving adequate leadership to the
Chamber movement in Ontario.

Mrs. Aaron E. Oestreicher, 61, a
vell Reown resident of Hay Towne
hip, of the Bronson line, near Dash-
wood died at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Chatham, on Saturday, January ;116,
after being' taken ill while visiting
ier son, Dr. Donald Oestreicher, of
hat city. • The funeral was conducted
t Dashwood on Monday in the Hoff-
mn Funeral Home, by the Rev. W.
F. Krotz. Interment being made in
Crediton 'Cemetery. Mrs. Oestreich-

Funeral services for Mrs. John
Eckstein, 72 of Z•urich,`a lifelong re-
ident of the district, who died tin the
South Huron Hospital, at Exeter, on
January 15th, !were conducted on.
Sunday at,2:30 p.m., by the Rev. H..
E. Roppel in the Evangelical 'church
here, and interment fhade in the
Bronson line Evangelical, cemetery.
The remaing rested' at 'the Westlake
Funeral Home until 1.30 p.m. Her
husband died several years ago. She
was the former Margaret Zimmerman
and she and •her • husband famed in
Hay Township forinany years before
coining to town. Surviving are one
