® Joseph Masnica
Joseph Masnica passed away at
Z the home of his brother Louis
Masnica in Stephen Township, on
Thursday, November 26, 1959, in
his 83rd year. Also surviving is
another brother, Walter of Czech-
oslovakia.

a.m. Requiem Mass was sung in

Sunday School
The, Sunday School children of
Zion Lutheran church have as
their mission project to send the
Holy Scriptures to Africa. $50
will be sent to the British and
purpose.
Stork Shower
Mrs, Howard Klumpp and Mrs.
Ross Guenther were co -hostesses
for a surprise stork shower at the
latter's home for Mrs. Kenneth
Kraft. Games were played and
gifts were presented in a bathin-
ette.
Ellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin Greb, had her tonsils re-
moved last Monday at South Hu-
ron Hospital, Exeter, by Dr. Read.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hayter and
family spent the weekend in
Windsor and Detroit. Mrs. Ber-
tha Hayter who had spent the
last three weeks there returned
home with them.
Mrs. Ervin Greb, Preston, spent
last weekend with her daughter
and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Becker, Mrs. Greb is convales-
cing after five months in the
hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Becker and
family spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Allen Becker and Brenda
of Crediton.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rader and
family spent Sunday at London
with Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Gam-
ble and family.
Mrs. Mike Burke, Brampton,
spent the weekend with Mr. Milt
Haugh.
Walther League
"Is this One for Me?" was the
topic discussion led by Pastor K.
L. Zorn at the meeting of the
Walther League of Zion Luther-
an Church.
After viewing a film strip the
group was divided into five parts
discussing the subject under these
headings: Is he a person I can
trust? Is he a person I can re-
spect as well as love? Do I know
him really well? Is he emotionally
mature and socially adjusted? Do
my parents approve of him?
The leaguers decided to buy $10
worth of books for the church
library and elected Robert Beck-
er as librarian.
Wheat Ridge Christmas seals
were made ready for distribu-
tion. At Lutheran missions and
sanatoriums in Japan, India,
Hong Kong, Nigeria and in North
America needy TB patients of all
