A surprise farewell party for
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Cook, Beth
and Cathy, who are leaving Hen-
sall, was held in the recreation
room of their home on highway
four, last Sunday afternoon. The
occasion was arranged by their
immediate neighbours.
Mr, and Mrs. Cook were pres-
ented with a floral relish dish,
and a pair of brass candelabras.
Beth and Cathy each received a
cup and saucer. The presenta-
tio8n address was read to the
Cooks by Harry Horton.

SOLD TO ELZAR MASSE
Harry McAdams, who has farm-
ed on the Bronson Line, south of
the Zurich road for a number of
years, has sold his farm to Ben-
jamin. Elzar Masse, London. Mr.
Masse is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Masse of the Bronson Line,
Mr. and Mrs. McAdams and
family have purchased a home at
RR 2, London, and will be moving
in the next week. Their new home
issituated a few miles north of
London, on Highway 4,
Mr. and Mrs. Masse will be tak-
ing up residence on their new
farm in the very near future.

The firm of Gingerich's Sales
and Service in Zurich and Sea -
forth have just concluded their
annual anniversary sale, held this
year during the month of Aug-
ust. As a climax to their annual
event a lucky draw was held at
both stores.
In Zurich first prize, a mirror,
was won by Mrs. Ivan Baechler,
RR 1, Zurich, Joe Rule, St. Marys,
won the second prize, a gallon of
paint, while the third prize, a doll,
went to Mrs. Willard Corriveau,
RR 3, Zurich.
Dora Taylor, Seaforth, won the
first prize in the Seaforth store,
a medicine cabinet. Mrs. M.
Haugh, Seaforth, was the win-
ner of the second draw, a gallon
of paint, and the third prize, a
doll, went to Mrs. W. L. Whyte,
Seaforth.
