DOG TROUBLES Dear Mr. Turkheim, I wonder if you would be so kind as to insert this letter in your paper for me, for it refers to a situation that I believe the dog owners of Zurich should be aware of, and which I know they will co-operate in. As I was leaving the school to- night after four o'clock, a little girl was lying face down in the snow near the school yard. A large dog had its front paws on her back. Before I could reach the child a man came to her res- cue and chased the dog away. A number of dogs like to play around the school, They are at- tracted no doubt by the children. So far they have all seemed friend- ly, and are welcomed by some of the children as playmates. Howev- er others 'of the children are terri- fied of them, and to -day's inci- dent shows they can create an uncomfortable situation. This par- ticular dog is one that visits the school. T am sure that mention of this incident is all that is needed to prevent a more serious situation developing in the future. ' Thanking you for the space in your paper, I remain, Sincerely yours, Greta J.
