Bend, Mr. John Armstrong and fam- ily, held-Christritas"'at the Wale of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Armstrong and family. Present were: Ken- neth and Lee, Montreal Shirley South and Ronald. Woodstock; Howard, Orangeville; Joyce Bell, Merle Armstrong, and Bill Stan berry, Goderich; Joyce Fischer and Douglas Armstrong, Zurich; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Armstrong and family, Mr. and Mrs.' Garnet Mouseau and family; Mrs. J. Me - Beth, Hensall; and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie .Armstrong and family, Bay- field.! Altogether there were 29 people present. Saturday' visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Elliott and family were:. Mr. and Mrs. Clare McBride, Gwen and Bob, spent Christmas Day in Hensall with Mr. and Mrs. Orval Rapson. After Gerald Hayter, welcomed the guests a Christmas Carol. was sung. Recitations were given by Deb- bie and Diane McKinley, and Ann Hayter. A duet by Dianne and Donna Peck, "The Children's Carol," accompanied by Mrs. El- mer Hayter, Also a quartette by Gerald and Bob Hayter, Wayne and Donna Peck, "Mary's Lulla- by." The senior gorjs sang, "I heard the Bells on Chiistmas Day." Musical numbers were "Silent Night," played by Karen McKin- ley on the accordion and a piano number by Marilyn Keys. A play, taken from the World Friends„ "Marias Manger Scene" was acted by Patsy Robinson, Joan Elliot, Marlene Keys, Jac- queline, Donna and Dianne Peck. Portraying the nativity scene were John and Debbie McKinley, as Joseph 4a14 Mary, Ronald Mc- Bride and Irvin Keys as tine Wise Men, and Cheryl Peck and Ann Hayter as angels. The final number on the pro- gram was pictures shown by Rev. Pitt on the Christmas Story, and a few of the children who attended Bible School last summer at Var- na. A social hour was enjoyed. Those unable, to take part be- cause of sickness were Bob Mc- Bride, Gregory, Freddie, and Mary Margaret Armstrong. • Young People's Social The Young People; of Varna and Goshen held a Christian • social on ,Tuesday • nigh t of the home of Donna Hayter: Following the worship service, seven table's of crokinole were in play.'
