Latta; 'Don O'Brien Leads Hitting
The Zurich Lumberkings won the Ontario Baseball Association
Intermediate C title on Saturday when they defeated Latta by a
score of 8-3., The game was played in Plainfield, about 11 miles
north of Bellville.
By winning the title it marked the second time in three years
that the Zurich team won an Ontario title. Two years ago they won
the Intermediate D title, and last year they lost out in the seventh
game for the same title.

Once again Bob White was the
star of the Zurich. victory. Pitch-
ing Ms lbest game of the season,
Whitey gave up only four hits
throughout the entire nine innings,.
He ,struck out nine batters, and
Walked only one man. In three
rdilfferent innings he faced only
three men., setting them down in
succession.
Don O'Brien Leads Hitting
Don O'Brien, who wilites a week-

450 Citizens Give Hearty Welcome To

village trustees, welcomed Dr. and •
Mrs. Klahsen to Zurich, and as-
sured them their stay in Zurich
would be a pleasant one. Mr.
Thiel prafsed the Chamber of
Commerce for their part in help-
ing ta bring Dr. Klahsen to Zu-
rich, and also for arranging the
special evening in his honour.
Rev. A. M. Amacher, pastel- of
the Evangelical Church rn Zurich,
spoke on behalf of his people, as
did Rev. Ephriam Gingerich, past-
or of the Blake Mennonite Church,
Rev. Albert Martin, pastor of the
Zurich Mennonite Church and
Rev. O. Winter, pastor of the Lu-
theran Church in Zuttch.
Delbert Geiger, as president of
the Zurich Lions Club, wished the
