Mr, and Mrs. Leslie Elliott, Watertown, N.Y. are visiting Mr. and Mrs, Melvin Elliott and fam- ily. Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Peck and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Snell, Londesfboro. Larry, Karen and Cathy Mc- Kinley spent a few days with friends in London. Hugh McBride, London, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Roy McBride and Johnny. Rev. and Mrs. T. J. Pitt, ere visiting their daughter in St. Catherines. Mission Band Meets Goslien Mission Band held the August meeting on Sunday mann- ing with 22 present. Marlene Keys gave the call to worship and Jac- queline Peck led in prayer. Mrs. Clare McBride read "Sin -- prise at Gifu" troun: Kenji. Wayne Peek took up the offering and Gail McBride gave the prayer of dedication. Missionary Society The Woman's Missionary Soc- iety of Goshen United Church met at the home of Mrs. Elmer Hayter an Thursday evening with about 20 present. Mrs. Melvin Ea- iott had charge of the program and was assisted by Mrs. Walter Eckel, Mrs. Roy McBride and Mrs. Elgin McKinley. Mrs. Russel Er- ratt was ,pianist. There were nine home and five hospital calls made. Mrs. Mc- Kinley reported on the Birthday Fund and Mrs: Floyd Armstrong read a letter concerning the bale The next meeting is to be on the third Thursday in September. Mr. Galster is a nephew of Mr. John +Scotchmer, Sr., and 28 mem- bers of the Scotcbner families gathered on Saturday night at on September 14, with the Rev. C. Daniels, Hensall, as guest mini- ster. Elliott talk- ed on "Missionaries all over the World". the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sicot chmer, Bronson Line, to visit. with them. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hampton who have spent some time with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scotcbmer, Bronson Line, moved to Godch recently. Mr. and 1Vtrs. Melvin Bennett and Marlene, Godenich, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pen - hale on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott, Lon- don, ondin, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Penhale. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Grainger, Barbara and Bob, Wallaceburng, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Grainger and family. Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Glaser, Bliiss- field, Michiigan, spent the week- end with Mr. and Mrs. Brussel' Grainger and Mrs. Snowden. They also called on Miss Rose Snowden and Mr. and Mrs. John Keys and family, Varna. Mrs. William Carnie, who has been visiting relatives and friends in this vicinity returned to Tweed- smith- Hall, London, one day last week.
