Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gianigerich
motored to Kitchener on Sunday
evening, returning their daughter
Gloria to her duties as nurse-in-
trainii,ng at Kitchener Waterloo
Hostpital.

elling cher business block in the
east part .of town, and turning
the building into apartments.
When com,piete it vvill accomod-
ate'four families. The work is ex-
pected to be. finished in several
weeks.
Attend Convocation
Mr. and Mrs. .Albert J. Kalb-
fleis'ch, and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney
Brokenshiire and Allan attended
the convocation at the Unilversity
of Western Ontario on Saturday
afternoon. A nephew, Charles Ed-
ward Aubert Kailbfleisch received
his B.A. degree.

received the Bachelor of Arts de-

honor B.A. in mathematics and
science.

Hear Dr. Bender
The members of the Blake Am-
ish Mennonite Church and the
Zurich Mennonite Church were
privileged on Sunday ,May 18,
to hear Dr. H. S. Bender, Dean
of Goshen College Biblical Semin-
ary, He spoke, both in the morn-
ing and evening services, on "Our
iH e•nbtage".
Speaking from a rich back-
ground of experience in teaching
general and church history for
nearly 30 years, 'the speaker was
well able to point out many as-
pects of this heritage from Apos-
tolic days •down through the Ref-
ormation, and other high points
to our present day of golden op-
portunities. The experiences of
the past should serve as lessons
for us today.
Dr. Bender's leadership is fent
and appreciated throughout the
Mennonite church in America and
Europe. He serves. as one of the
chief executives in the Mennonite
World Conference which convenes
every five years,

Mrs. Caroline Price, who is a
patient at St. Mary's Hospital,
London, celebrated her 96th birth-
day an May 1e). She is still quite
active, and enjoys crocheting and
reading.
Mrs. Price .received many lovely I
cards, flowers, and gifts on the ,
occasion and wishes to thank all
those who remembered her.
OBITUARY
Jane MeClyinont

Mrs. James MoCIymant, Kip -
pen, passed away at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Alice Cook,
London, on Wednesday, May 21, in
her 82nd year. The former Ann
Amelia Wagner, she was. born on.
the Goschen Line and resided in
Kippe;n for some 17 years. She
was a member of St. Andrew's
United. Church, Kiippen.
She was married twice, her first
husband, David McOlinchey, died
38 years ago, Mr. McOlym,ont pre-
deceased her sn 1946.
Surviving are one son, Orvillfe
McClinchey, Varna; three daugh-
ters (Jennie) Mrs. Warren &Chdl-
be, Hensel., (Edna) Mrs. Joe 1 u-
oharnne, Dashwood, (1Allice) Mrs.
Cook, Landon. Eleven grandchild-
ren and 17 great grandchildren
also survive.
Pirubitie funeral servies, eonduct-
ed by Rev. R. MacMillian, were
;held din' Hensal.'l on Friday, with
interment in Bay:fuelld Cemeteiry.

at Thames: Hall, University of
Western Ontario, and reception
at Somerville House, on Thurs-
day evening, as guests of 'their
'niece, 1VIliss Alice Caldwell, who
was one of the 78 nurses who
graduated int the 1958 class. She
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

The bride was given in mair-
riage by her father and wore a
ballerina -length gown of while
lace over net and a :lace jacket
with lily point sleeves. She car-
ried
arried a bouquet of red roses.
Miss Helen Hafifunan, Farkinilll,
attended the bride as maid of hon-
or gowned in green chiffon and
the bridesmaid was Miss Mary
'Dreher, London, gowned in mauve
net over 'taffeta.Joy Pollock, Park-
hill, was flower girl.
Groomsman was Wilfred Hof-
fman, Zurich, and ushers were
Joseph Hoffman, Zurich and Ed-
ward De Ka], er•, Sarnia. Len Ev-
e:nley, Sarnia, acted as soloist.
The wedding dinner was held
at the Brenner Hotel, Grand Bend,
and the reception, lin the Zurich
Arene.
The bride's mother received
guests in e navy dress with white
accessories and a corsage of red
roses and the groom's mother
wore 'a green figured dress with
white 'accessories end a corsage
of pink roses.
For travelling, the bride domed
a grey flecked suit With pink ac-
cessories and a corsage of pink
carnations.
Upon returning from a wedding
trip, to Windsor and the United
States the couple will reside in
Zurich.

Girl Guide News
On Thursday .night the Girl
Guides held their weekly meeting,
at which time they discussed the
mother and daughter banquet to
be held in the near future. They
also made plans :For the cookie
sale which was +h•eld an Saturday.
The girls went out for a short
walk. At nine o'clock they re-
turned to the hall and had camp-
fire.
On Saturday the Guides held
their cookie sale, which was quarte
successful. They Wish 'to thank
all those who contributed in any
way.
