Messers Charles Thiel and Al-
bert Kalbfleish made a business
trip to Goderich, last Wednesday.
Mr, and Mrs. Menno Oesch, mo-
tored to Lucknow on Sunday, to
spent tihe day with Mrs. Oesch's
mother,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hab'erer, Jr.,
accompanied by Mrs. Keith West-
lake, spent Friday evening in
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Fraser, Ex-
eter, enjoyed Sunday visiting
with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thiel and
family, Zurich.
Mrs. Beatrice Hess, visited on.
Sunday with her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Cy Sim-
mons, in Exeter.
Mr, and Mrs. William Diebel,
Guelph, were weekend visitors at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Thiel, in Zurich.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Weston,
Bayfield, visited on Sunday with
the latter's sister, Mrs. Fanny
James Armitage, Waterloo, was
a weekend visitor with Paul and
Ken Weido, of town.
Miss Sandra Brown, Elmira,
was a weekend guest with Miss
Ruth Haberer, Zurich.
Mr, and Mrs. Ward Fritz, Zur-
ich, !have arrived safely in "Florida,
where they intend spending some
time enjoying the sunny south.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulford
and family, enjoyed the weekend
at the home of Mrs. Pulford's par-
ents, Mr.. and Mrs. Ferd Haberer,
of town.
Lorne Amacher, student at Un-
iversity of Western Ontario, spent
the weekend with his parents,
Rev. , and Mrs. A .M. Amacher,
here in Zurich.
iVr .and Mrs. Seth Amanns are
enjoying the beautiful sunny
weather of Florida for several
weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Fritz,
Zurich, are also spending some
time in the South. -

returned home after a week's vis-
it with their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kauf-
man in Toronto; Mr, and Mrs. Ed.
Kaufman and family motoring to
Zurich, bringing their parents

Mrs. William Forrester, Zurich,
Bender, .in Zurich. has been acting mail courier on
Mr. .and Mrs. Ronald Heimrick RR 1 Zurich, for the past several
weeks in place of Norman Gascho,
who has been down with the flu.
Happy to report that Mr. Gascho
is now up and around again.
Exeter, spent the weekend with
Mrs. Helmrick's parents, Mr. and
`Mrs. Karl Haberer, and other
friends.
Messers Ivan Kalbfleisch and
George Deichert returned home
Friday night, after having atten-
ded the Liberal Convention in
Ottawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Green,
Clinton, spent Friday with Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Hess, Zurich. Wil-
liam Hess, Woodstock, also spent
the day with his parents.
Miss Arlene Haberer, nurse -in -
training at Victoria Hospital. Lon-
don, spent Wednesday and Thurs-
day of last week with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Ferri Haberer.
Mr. and Mrs. Clare Geiger mo-
tored to Lcridon on Monday to
viist their brother-in-law, Arthur
Heist, Grand Bend, who is a pat-
ient at St. Joseph's Hosiptal.
Mrs. Oliver Moore, Mrs. Wil-
liam Reichert and Mrs. Ernest
Laidlaw, spent Monday in London.
Lorne Rader and Kenneth Mit-
teLholtz attended the "Moffat Op-
en House" in Preston on Tuesday,
where they inspected all the new
Moffat lines which were on dis-
play.
Mrs. Oliver Moore, Mrs. Beat-
rice Hess, Mrs. Wes Merrier, Mrs.
Chris. Heist and Ides, Vic Din-
nin are making cancer dressings
for the Exeter Branch of the
Canadian Cancer Society. Any
other ladies who are interested in
helping this very worthwhile pro-
ject are_ asked to. contact any of

Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Hugill, and
Mr. and Mrs. William Lawrence,
returned Monday after a splendid
trip to Florida and other parts in
the south. They report the weath-
er has beeir very unfavorable the
past couple of weeks.
We are pleased to report the
conditions. of Charles Mack, a pat-
ient in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don, as being very much improv-
ed. Charles is expected home in
a few days, as is his mother and
baby sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy O'Brien
motored to London on Sunday,
spending the day with their son
and daughter-in-law, Mr, and
Mrs. William O'Brien, Jr., Mr.
O'Brien, Jr. is an accountant with
the Bank of Montreal, Market
Branch.

and Robert McGregor, Kippen,
first vice-president of the South
Huron Agricultural Society when
that group held its annual meet-
ing in the New Commercial Hotel,
Hensall. Jim Doig, Seaforth, is
second vice-president and Jim
McGregor, Kippen, is secretary -
treasurer.
Directors appointed were: Hay
Township, V. L. Becker and Earl
Campbell; Tuckersmith, Jim Doig
and Robert McGregor; U'sborne
Township, Sam and Harry Dou'--
all; Hibbert, Jack Kinsman^ and
Earl Dick; Stanley, Elgin McKin-
ley and Bert McBride; Stephen,
Otto Willert and Russell Brown;
Hensall, George Armstrong, Nor-
man Jones and Lorne Luker.
The Spring Show will be held
on June 13, this year, rather than
the customary last day of May.
The Society has a bank balance of
$350.
