Dashwood Merry Maids—
The fourth meeting of Dashwood
Merry Maids was held Wednesday
November 20th, with eleven girls pre
sent and Mrs Baker and /Mrs. Devine
'Miss S. Patterson, Hoare 'Economists_
Will visit the Club December 16th.
The girls were told how to transfer
pattern markings to material and
did a sample of stay stitching. Sonne
of the girls pinned on their patterns
and without their skirts. Roil call

with a few patients requiring admis-
sion to hospital, clinical and laiborat-
ory tests did not confirm the presence
of the disease and uneventful recov-
ery was the general rule.
In the first six months of 1958,
ver ,000 ores of polio' vaccine
were provided to county children.
These doses represented initial prot-
ection to 4,750 preschool children,
and 7.,.320 secondary school students,
and third doses to about 7,000 elem-
entary school units.
Asian influenza is imminent.. The
incubation 'period is short, usually
one to three days. Illness develops
rapidly and is charastized by rover,
