Many beautiful and costly gifts were presented to the couple in honor of the event. A social hour of euchre and ,erodkinol was enjoyed and luncheon served. Guests attended from Ottawa, St, Thomas, iSeaforth, Exeter and Hen- sall. On Monday June 24th the remains were taken from his late residence to St. Peter's 'Church, then to the adjoining eemetery for interment. Mass was celebrated by the parish priest, Father Poisson, assisted by Father .Martin of Sarnia and Father Monaghan of Zurich; pall bearers •were his grandsons; the funeral was largely attended, and from distant points were: Detroit, Windsor, Cha- tham, Niagara. Falls and as well other points in the surrounding dis- trict to mourn. his dosis. Surviving are his wife, the former Anne Cha- rette, seven sons, and two .daughters, 3:3 grand children and ('ill great grand children, and as well many others, as Mr. Denomnne had many friends. We offer our deepest sympathy to the bereaveed family in their hour of grief. Hospital, Kitchener; en Saturday June 1212nd. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs V. L. Becker Many attended the graduation and later the reception given by her par- ents at their home here. The driver, not familiar with the road, failed to make the curve. The car crossed the highway and wrapped itself around a tree. The driver's wife was crushed to death and he was badly injured. When he recovered he waa charged with careless. driving and his licence suspended. This is just one of the countless accidents caused by excessive speed. Think about this picture the next time you start to press your accelerator past the safe limit.
