Buy Storm Windows and Doors The County of Huron is e.:peel menting with a new 'ryas of roadway iona mile long strip west of Bruce- ield in Stanley Township. If the pro- cess proves satisfactory, it is expect- ed it will be used where needed on all country+ roads, where paving is too expensive. The process, new in this pari of the Coun..y, although it has been proven elsewhere, involves the use of salt, of which there is an un- limited quantity in the County, and Mr. Wuntle of the Goderich Salt Works, has donated 25 tons for this experiment. The Stanley Township road was scarified to loosen the pac- ked surface, then 25 tons of salt "were laid. A road machine vas then. used to mix the salt and gravel, and the, mixture was leveled. Forty mil- es' of Huron roads prevously had be- en treated with a mixture of clay and calcium chloride. One of the fine advantages of such a road would be that it would be comparatively dustless, and the upkeep cost would he at a minimum. FIRE PREVENTION WEEK LET' US QUOTE YOU! 4. 4. :.
